Sales & Marketing Manager – Media Industry Job at RACG

Our client is seeking a key Sales and Marketing Manager to a key media company in Nairobi.

The successful candidate will be in charge of the overall sales and marketing effort in the organization geared towards achieving profitable transactions through a competent sales and marketing force within the business. The candidate is expected to be a strategic thinker who can create out of the box selling solutions and has a burning desire to grow into senior leadership roles in the business.

Sales & Marketing Manager Job Responsibilities

  • The study of various industries and knowledge thereof to assist you in identifying the gap and creating the solution for the clients.
  • 90% Client retention ratio and 85% media occupancy
  • Analyzing client spends and identifying where to intensify your pitches.
  • Creation and handling a new below the line sections
  • Creation of creative department
  • Prepare market research and competitor analysis with continual updates.
  • Market knowledge of new entrants into the business environment and awareness of new product launches.
  • Responsible for the design and presentation of all Sales environments and marketing material for all aspects of a mixed-use community.
  • Liaison with customer service in order to enhance the reputation of the company, increase profitability and to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Appropriate reporting to Director on all aspects of Sales and Marketing.
  • Promote and act in accordance with company values, systems, policies and procedures.
  • Recruit and train staff.
  • Manage sales administration process – including cooperation with the legal department
  • Manage sales collection process – including cooperation with the finance department.

Requirements for the Sales & Marketing Manager Job

The role will require a highly successful and target orientated media sales professional with flair and personality.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business studies, marketing or relevant field an MBA will be preferred.
  • Proven track record in similar role or at the level of Senior Sales & Marketing Manager.
  • Good awareness of IT systems.
  • Experience of managing budgets/cost control, and planning, prioritizing and organizing work to meet targets.
  • Self-confident, decisive, resilient and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A lateral and innovative thinker, an original problem-solver.
  • Specialist knowledge of sales/marketing techniques, research and analysis.
  • Self –disciplined, with excellent time management skills, and flexible in order to achieve results.
  • A motivational team-leader focused on managing, coaching and developing the Sales team to achieve their full potential.
