How do employers/recruiters view candidates who are experienced hires trying to get into another career? Probably the same way they view everyone else!

Here are 4 Things you should do to your CV if you are looking for a new Job:

1. Rewrite your CV to highlight any experience, skill, the certification you have in your target role/ industry.

2. There is such a thing called transferable skills, when preparing for job interviews, identify transferable skills that would be related to your target industry, and be able to talk about how you would use those skills.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Tailor your LinkedIn profile to the role and industry, and highlight keywords that are relevant to the industry.

4. Let the first half of your CV, especially your profile summary, highlight how your current experience is relevant to the role you are trying to fill. For example, our client that was in Human Resources Unit, was trying to get a sales role. Part of her summary looked like this…”Experienced in leveraging human capital to drive business growth, increase revenue, improve service quality…to meet the growing business needs.
