Manager, Business Systems Job at National Hospital Insurance Fund 

Our client, National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) is a state corporation established by under the Act no 8 of 1998 whose mandate is to provide accessible, affordable, sustainable and quality social health insurance.

In order to enhance institutional capacity to deliver strategy.

NHIF is seeking to recruit a results driven and highly motivated individual to fill the following position:

Ref. NHIF/MBS/10/2018

Reporting to the Head of ICT, the job holder will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and upgrading IT systems to support business operations and processes.

Key Responsibilities for the Business Systems Manager Job

  • Analyse user requirements, develop and maintain systems to support business operations & processes;
  • Determine and document user procedures to inform training requirement;
  • Facilitate Backups and Disaster Recovery services to ensure systems availability and business continuity; and.
  • Set, monitor and evaluate performance targets for the Business Systems team.

Business Systems Manager Job Qualifications

  • Be a holder of a Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields; Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or any other relevant field from a recognized university;
  • A Masters Degree in any of the above, or related fields from a university recognised in Kenya will be an added advantage;
  • Possess Professional Certifications in Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Oracle PL/SQL Developer and in methodologies including Agile, DevOps, etc from a reputable institution;
  • Have experience in any of the following technologies: Git, Jenkins, Cloud orchestrators and Containers; and
  • Have knowledge and relevant experience of not less than eight (8) years in a busy IT environment with three (3) years at managerial level in an organisation of similar complexity as NHIF.

  • Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board;
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority;
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; and
  • A report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau.
