Due to its growth and expansion strategy, the institute is looking for entry level professionals to fill the following position:

Human Resource Intern

The role holder shall assist in coordinating the operations and activities of the human resource unit.

They will be responsible for offering HRM support to the management by ensuring that the institute attracts, motivates and retains the right human resources who will ensure successful realization of the institute’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all functions that relate to HR such as recruitment, staff training and development, administration of employee benefits, payments etc;
  • The maintenance of a reliable HR management staff records;
  • Coordinating staff welfare and wellness programmes;
  • Ensure smooth staff record management;
  • Oversee temporary staff, casuals and Interns;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to formulate, implement and monitor HR Policies and Procedures;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in performance management and reporting;
  • Unquestionable Integrity and strong ethical standards;
  • Confidentiality when dealing with sensitive personal information;
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Appointment to the position shall be made from persons who possess a:
  • A university degree in Human Resource Management or a degree in Business Related field from a recognized university;
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management /Advanced Certificate in Human Resource Management or Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) qualification.
  • Minimum 1- 2 years’ relevant working or attachment experience;
  • Must be a member of Institute of Human Resource Management ( IHRM )
