Assistant II – Auditor Job at Jamii Sacco
Jamii Sacco is a membership Cooperative Society registered under the Cooperative Societies Act Cap 490 (Amended 2004) of the laws of Kenya and licensed by SASRA.
The objectives for which the Society was established are to organize and promote the quality of life of the members by providing quality financial products and services.
The following position is vacant and the Sacco would like to fill it:

JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Manager, Internal Audit, the job holder will assist the Sacco’s Internal Auditor in ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory policy requirements in the execution of its operations.
Roles for the Assistant Auditor Job
- Coordinate and implement audit policies, procedures, norms and standards.
- Assist the Internal Auditor in the Preparation of reports that reflects the Sacco’s audit results.
- Assist in performing risk assessment tests and maintain a risk register key business activities and use the resulting information to optimize the Sacco’s risk profile and internal audit operations.
- Assist in conducting audits of the Sacco’s information systems policies, procedures and processes and review compliance with the ICT strategy and report for action.
- Carry out regular compliance tests on society operating systems, policies and procedures and make necessary recommendations.
- Evaluate the reliability, integrity, timeliness and accuracy of financial and operating information to facilitate sound decision-making by management.

Assistant Auditor Job Qualifications
- Diploma in Finance/Accounting or CPA II
- A minimum of two years working experience in audit environment
- Computer literacy
- Exposure to risk management environment
- Good analytical skills

Other Requirements
- Police clearance certificate (Certificate of Good Conduct)
- Tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- A clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
- A clearance certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
